Full description

Discover the wild beauty of Khao Sok National Park on a full-day guided trip from Khao Sok. Feed and bathe elephants and take a bamboo raft downstream. Enjoy a Thai lunch, visit a market, and try local coffee.

Following pickup from your hotel in Khao Lak, head to the Takuapa local market (only guests picked up from Khao Lak. Guests from other pick-up locations will not visit the local market) to browse and look at all the products.

From there, continue to the elephant rescue camp. Feed these amazing animals some bananas and cool them off with a bath. Next, visit the monkey temple. Eat a Thai-style lunch at the local restaurant next to the river before bamboo rafting along the Khao Sok River.

Relax as your guides gently steer the bamboo rafts downstream while you admire the dramatic limestone mountains and serene sounds of the jungle.

Stop at the river bank for some trekking and relaxing in the front of a limestone cave after enjoying a coffee break. This coffee is made in a bamboo stick and served in bamboo cups, which you can take home with you. At the end of your tour, transfer back to your hotel in Khao Lak.

The excursion was very good. The guide "Nain" was great and told us many things about Thailand. He took great photos and videos of us at every opportunity. He responded to our wishes and was also very friendly and personable. I would do a tour with him again anytime. As there were no other travelers we had a private tour at no extra charge.

The tour was very good. Since there are very few tourists in Thailand due to corona, we had a private tour. We were picked up promptly at 08:00 in a new SUV at the hotel. Aong our guide was very nice, answered all our questions and told us a lot about the region. The trip to the market in Takua Pa to start with is a must. Then we went to the elephant camp. There is no riding on the elephants and no whips or anything else used - that was very important to us! Aong took great pictures of us - throughout the trip. We continued to the Monkey Temple in Khao Sok National Park. Afterwards there was a delicious lunch in a typical Thai restaurant in the middle of the jungle. Finally the bamboo ride, where we also saw monkeys. On the way back to the hotel, Aong even stopped at a supermarket so we could buy postcards. Anytime again with Green Andaman Travel. Thank you Aung!

We were picked up at the hotel on time and were lucky enough to have the tour alone as a couple. Our guide spoke English and both he and the driver were very friendly! During the tour we learned a lot about the country, its culture and there was also one or the other personal experience. Bamboo rafting and monkey temple were great. However, the encounter with the elephants left us with a queasy feeling. The keeper rode on the neck of the animal and had an elephant hook with him, and he kept getting loud commands. All animals looked healthy and well cared for. Bathing and feeding was great, but when we left we could see an elephant trekking on the opposite side. The guide told us that this is the same camp - you can also ride there. When we asked if that wasn't forbidden, he just replied "well that's not very good but okay". If we had known these circumstances beforehand, we would have decided against this tour.
