Planning Your Visit

  • Admission

    You can pre-book a standard ticket online that covers all three monuments in the area: the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Opening hours are from 8:30 AM until one hour before sunset.

  • Tours

    If you want to do more than just walk in and grab a few shots with your camera, we recommend a small group tour. We’ve done it and it’s well worth it. An expert will teach you about ancient Roman history, architecture, sport and little known facts that make the Colosseum come alive as you walk through it. You can also combine it with the guided tour of the Forum or Palatine Hill.

  • Getting There

    Colosseo station is located on Rome's blue metro line, two stops from Termini. You cannot miss the Colosseum as you exit the station.

Absolutely amazing tour. Maria was an outstanding host and kept our 10 yr old daughter engaged the entire time. It was so great to not to be in a large tour group; this was just our family with the guide and a very intimate experience.

Unbelievable!!!! Our tour guide jabar was so knowledgeable and happy to chat with us. Highly recommend the underground tour of the coliseum gives you a much deeper insight into the history of the building and what occurred there.
