Krabi: ATV Adventure

4. Krabi: ATV Adventure

Get picked up from your Krabi-area hotel and to a forest camp to greet your guide and listen to a safety briefing about ATV-riding. After the briefing, learn how to use an easy-to-drive vehicle accessible to those with little experience. Choose between routes meant for beginners and for those looking for more of a challenge. No matter your ability, your guide will ensure that you are safe during the ride.  If you go for the beginner's route, you will enjoy a 45 minute ride through wooded palm and durian fruit plantations with lots of small tracks featuring bumps, tight corners, and some big puddles to splash through. The intermediate route goes through the same area as the beginners' route but is a bit longer (one hour) and will include some more demanding paths as well. The tour runs in all weather conditions since some rain makes ATV riding even more fun. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting muddy or dusty, close-toed shoes, and sunglasses for the dust, especially during the dry season. We will provide you with a mask to avoid getting dust in your nose and mouth.

Krabi: Highlights Tour with Krabi Elephant Shelter

9. Krabi: Highlights Tour with Krabi Elephant Shelter

The Krabi Elephant Shelter was constructed with the intention of being a second home for the elephants from the terrible hardship they were experiencing in forestry operations and riding camps. Instead of riding or working with them, we employ our elephants in their daily lives and have learned to adapt to them so that we can all enjoy our activities together. The elephants that are currently living with us are the elephants that have previously had to cohabit with humans, so they are accustomed to human behavior. Every day, you’ll discover how warm, hot, and hungry they are.

Krabi: Private Trip to Tiger Cave Temple & Waterfall

10. Krabi: Private Trip to Tiger Cave Temple & Waterfall

Visit 3 main attractions of the Krabi jungle on this private day trip. You can visit Wat Tahm Suea (the Tiger Cave Temple), Sra Morakot (the Emerald Pool), and the natural hot spring. Firstly, you can explore the Tiger Cave Temple, aptly named because of the rock outgrowth nearby resembling a tiger’s claw. The temple is known as a meditation center and its spectacular setting in the Ao Luk Thanu mountain range provides the necessary quiet atmosphere perfect for meditation. Venture 1,200 steps to the hill top for the view of Krabi and its limestone rock formations. Discover and swim in the Emerald Pool/Crystal Lagoon, a freshwater pool inside the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve. Our tour with the legendary and perfect tour guid Tan was 100% perfect! Our first stop to the Emerald Pool would have been enough for a memorable and great experience. One of the many highlights was Tan spotting a sleeping black viper. Tan gave us many interesting insight into the nature and animal world. After a delicious meal and the buffet, we headed to the hot pools. Tan showed us a less-crowded place and after a f***in hot bath, we took a nap in the van (by the way: our driver Enjoy was the BEST driver EVER) to refuel our batteries for the main event. We climbed 1260 to the top of the Tiger Cave Temple which was absolutely incredible. The way to the top (with advice and encouragement given by Tan) and the viewpoint were breathtaking (no pun intended) and a trip we will never forget. We are a family of three and our 6-year-old daughter loved the tour as well. Tan was super kid-friendly and took extra care of our beloved one. All in all, we highly recommend doing this tour.

The whole experience was great!! The Emerald pool was nice, and you can also go a bit further to see the Blue pool. It was very crowded at the hot springs, but you can really relax there. The best part of the trip was the steps to the Budda footstep at the Tiger Temple. Getting there was REALLY hard, but it was worth it, you have to climb 1300 stairs. If you want to go there, take comfortable shoes, it’ll be very uncomfortable in slippers.

A fantastic experience. We were worried about going on this type of trip and the possible exploitation of the animals but we didn't have to worry. The whole experience was centred around the elephants welfare and very educational. THE PERFECT WAY TO GET CLOSE TO THESE MAGNIFICENT ANIMALS.

I can only recommend the Tour with Tan! He is very friendly, customer-oriented and takes great selfies. Moreover the transport was very smooth between the spots and the buffet delicious! Tiger Cave Temple and the hot springs where a great experience as well

Amazing service. We loved feeding and bathing the well looked after and loved elephants! The food was amazing and the walk up tiger cave mountain was breathtaking! Would highly recommend to a friend and we will definitely be back!
