Full description
First, travel by minivan for 1 hour and 20 minutes before you arrive at the camp. Founded on 27 April 1940, Auschwitz became the site of extermination by inhumane conditions and physical destruction of prisoners. It was the biggest death camp of the Nazi regime and during your tour a licensed guide will sensitively take you to see the barbed wire fences, watchtowers, barracks, gallows and gas chambers; these depict the circumstances under which the Nazi genocide took place. Spend 2 hours here with a short 20 minute break.  You will also visit Birkenau, a short 5-minute drive from Auschwitz. Birkenau comprised of more than 300 buildings, including latrines, watchtowers and gas chambers. Although a challenge, it’s important to remember these events to make sure that this history is never repeated. Spend approximately 1.5 hours here before the 1 hour 20 minute drive back to Krakow.

Michal made our tour absolutely perfect! He arrived on time right outside our hotels doors and couldn’t do enough for us, he was so polite and helpful. When we arrived we had to queue for the tickets but Michal sorted all this out for us so the tour got through together and without waiting! Our tour guide (Magda) was so passionate and really made the experience for us, she was so so knowledgeable and we honestly couldn’t have had a better tour guide. Michal was waiting for us after our tour and although there was so much traffic, he still dropped us at our hotels front door which is really appreciated. If any one’s having doubts on which tour to book - this is the one!!!! Couldn’t recommend it enough - thank you all for the tour

Everything worked really well! Drivers Mateusz were nice and helpful with everything, we changed the pickup location the day before, but that was no problem. We were informed about the schedule for the whole day. On site in Auschwitz, our guide Michal was waiting, he spoke very good Swedish, was objective and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Despite a somewhat late start because of the local marathon, the memorial visit of the two horror camps very interesting to immerse us in the absolute horror and the industrialized genocide to the extreme, showing that all power must have a counter-power strong to prevent such atrocious acts; these camps should serve as lessons for all the followers of the neo-apprentice dictators who flourish across the current world ...
