Get a short break for lunch on arrival, and then get shown around Auschwitz I to see the infamous Arbeit Macht Frei sign and some of the administration buildings where the horrors were planned.

Look inside the gas chamber where the Nazis committed their hideous genocide, and see personal artifacts belonging to inmates at exhibitions dedicated to their memory. Benefit from a short 15-minute break before going to the Birkenau camp for a 1-hour guided tour. Discover where the prisoners entered the camp and the wooden barracks where they were forced to live.

The tour was well organized, but I would have liked more time because the area is so large that the tour went too quickly to be able to process everything and let it sink in. The guide went through it quite quickly, so that you had to choose between taking photos/viewing and joining the group (otherwise the headphones would not receive anything). I would have wished that after the tour you would have had 1 hour to explore the huge area on your own. Nevertheless, it was an overwhelming experience and was able to convey the horror of the time... but unfortunately a little too "fast"...

Well arranged tour. The visit to Auschwitz and Auschwitz-Birkenau was very impressive. A brisk walking pace, but it has to be because there are considerable distances that you have to bridge. The guide spoke good English and also knew a lot to tell. We were lucky with the period it was not that busy. Only 2000 visitors per day and normally in heyday 15,000 visitors per day. In short, well organized.

I can’t recommend this tour enough. Communication and information before the day was great. We knew where to go easily. Also our tour was first thing after a late flight and we we’re concerned about food. But for a charge they can provide this. Which was so reasonable with plenty included. The drive wasn’t bad at all, comfortable van and Anna a great driver and made everything super clear all through the day. There was never any rush or confusion! She actually made this trip so easy! Our actual guide was perfect, she had so much compassion while delivering the saddest of information. So informative all the way through! Really made our trip special.
