1. Sochi: Krasnaya Polyana and Rosa Khutor Mountain Resorts
Set high in the Caucasus Mountains, the fashionable Krasnaya Polyana is home to ski resorts including Roza Khutor, which hosted events during the 2014 Winter Olympics. The area has a mix of modern restaurants, après-ski bars, and trendy pubs, and is a popular hiking destination with nature trails in summer. Rosa Khutor is a year-round mountain resort located on the banks of the Mzymta River and the mountain slopes of the Adler district of Sochi. The resort has 28 cable cars, and a total ski-run length of 102 kilometers. In February 2014, it became the venue for the competitions of the 22nd Olympic Winter Games in alpine skiing, snowboarding, and freestyle. The walk along the Skybridge - one of the longest suspension bridges in the world, is a thrilling experience for everybody. The Skybridge is located in a picturesque place in the Akhshtyr Gorge, above the Mzymta River at an altitude of 207 meters above the ground. Those who dare may walk along it to the other side of the gorge whilst enjoying panoramic views of the incredible surrounding beauty. On one side of the bridge you see the snow-capped peaks of the Caucasus Mountains, and on the other, views over the Black Sea coast. Each visitor of the park will be able to watch the jumps and flights over the gorge, and at the conclusion of your experience your guide returns you to your accommodation.
