Full description

After pick up, have a 3 hours long drive with a break on the midway through breathtaking views of Meander Valley, mountains, farming lands, fruit tree gardens, small towns and villages. First, visit Hierapolis. The Necropolis (cemetery) of Hierapolis is one of the biggest ancient cemeteries in Anatolia with 1,200 graves, Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, the Main Street, and Byzantian Gate. Then you take a short walk over to the natural warm water terraces which were formed by running warm water that contains high levels of calcium. A swim in the effervescent waters of the Sacred Pool should be at the top of the list on any travel itinerary. In addition to a high level of natural radioactivity, the water contains calcium bicarbonate, calcium sulfate, magnesium and carbon dioxide and after a swim, you should simply dry off and let the minerals do their magic. You will be given enough free time to be on your own pace as well to get a better feeling of the site of Pamukkale. In the late afternoon 3 hours drive back to Kusadasi and return to your hotel or point of your departure.

Mustafa was a good and friendly guide with a lot of knowledge. The ride takes a 3 hours, but in a very comfortable minivan. It is advisable to bring a jacket/blanket though as it was very cold due to the air conditioning set way too high. The driver saw that everyone was cold, but unfortunately the air conditioning stayed very cold. During the outward journey there was a short stop to stretch the legs. Afterwards a stop in a factory. Nice stuff in between, but ridiculously expensive. Definitely no added value to the trip. Once we arrived, Mustafa took us where he explained the different possibilities. Afterwards followed free moments until the appointed hour to return home (1,5-2,5h in agreement with the group). In short: a very good trip, highly recommended!

The trip was nice, Oscar knows a lot of history and he can easily create an interesting discussion whether you want to hear about history, customs, religion. We didn't think CLeopatra's pool was interesting so he took us to visit some exhibition rooms and told us a lot of things about the sculptures and mythology. The food was also very nice.

Really appreciate Aaron for bringing us around Pamukkale! My husband & I really enjoyed the small group tour. Aaron was insightful in sharing his knowledge about the area, and was also very helpful in taking. wonderful photos for us to keep as memories. Additionally, he gave us free time to explore the area which we really appreciated. Thank you Aaron for the great time in Pamukkale!
