I wanted to rent a kimono for my Kyoto trip with my boyfriend and I I couldn’t find a single place that would do the reservations online except this one. We were very happy with my reservation as the staff was very friendly to us. They got both of us dressed in about an hour and I I also got my hair done in that time.

They have a great selection of Kimonos to choose from. Once you have chosen your kimono the changing is actually pretty fast and they give you a bag to put your clothes and belongings to store while you are out in the kimono. It was a really fun thing to do.

They have such a well-organized system here! They took great care of me and me two young daughters. And you really do need someone to help you wear a kimono or yukata - there’s more to it than I realized. The hairstyling was quick and beautiful as well, and added such a nice touch to photos. Walk down to the river or head to a temple for photos - it’s worth it. My only suggestion would be a more clear return procedure, but overall I’d highly recommend.
