Rent a premium kimono and discover what it feels like to wear the traditional costume of Kyoto. Keep the kimono for the day and enjoy strolling around the city like a local. Women can rent a furisode (premium kimono), usually worn to attend formal events such as coming-of-age ceremonies, gala dinners and wedding parties. They feature long sleeves, glamorous designs and patterns to create a beautiful look. For men, the premium kimono is known as a montsuki hakama and includes the outer pants ("hakama"). Have your hair done by a professional stylist to complete your look.

Great experience - but cheaper!

First of all I have to say: do it absolutely! However, there is something like sand on the sea on site and the prices are much cheaper than here! In addition, there are many things that have to be paid extra - e.g. a colorful collar or hair accessories - even if a hairstyle is booked! It quickly fills up! But the experience was worth it! Quality of the kimonos is good - but here too there is an increase which costs around € 75 more! Conclusion: but compare prices on site & it is best to take the rental closest to the accommodation!

Big selection of kimono styles. From simplest one to perfect one. Very polite and attentive staff. Nice kimono rental shop. I highly recommend this rental shop. We was very happy!
