    1. La Paz: Tiwanaku Archeological Site Full-Day Tour

After pickup from your hotel in central La Paz at around 7:30 AM, you'll head to Tiwanaku to explore the most important archaeological site in Bolivia.  Located near the southern shore of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, the city of Tiwanaku, also spelled Tiahuanaco, was the capital of a powerful pre-Incan civilization that dominated the Andean region between 500 AD and 900 AD. Arriving later, the Incas regarded Tiwanaku as the site where their god Viracocha rose from the depths of Lake Titicaca. With your guide, you'll explore this monumental site that includes several temples, a pyramid, symbolic gates, and mysterious rock carvings of alien-like faces. At the end of the tour you will be dropped back to La Paz.

It was a highly professional and a good trip. Since there were no other travelers, it was kind of a private tour and I was very satisfied by it. The guide Álvaro is very knowledgeable and helped me to take nice photos. Thanks!

Simply sensational!! For those who like it, it's a super ride, liberating, super cultural, rich in stories and knowledge. In addition to the Guide who took us to be super knowledgeable about everything and told us about all points from leaving the hotel to returning to the hotel. My husband and I loved it and we highly recommend it!

Two guides gave us very entertaining and enthusiastic information about the city and the political situation in the country. It is a free walking tour. In Bolivia you cannot offer your service without a fixed price, so the tour is offered at the officially lowest possible price so that the tours can take place.
