Labuan Bajo: 2-Day Komodo National Park & Kelor Island Tour

2. Labuan Bajo: 2-Day Komodo National Park & Kelor Island Tour

Day 1: Begin your jam-packed day by heading to the airport and boarding a small plane to West Flores. After the short flight, board a boat that will take you to Rinca Island. The island is situated in the center of the Indonesian archipelago and is one of the many that together make up Komodo Dragon National Park. Start trekking through the volcanic terrain, keeping your eyes peeled for the famous giant monitor lizards. If you’re thinking that komodo dragons are all that Rinca Island can offer, you’ll quickly be proven wrong. You’ll also get your fair share of scenic views, lush forests, and other wild animals like deer, pigs, monkeys, and buffalo. After exploring Rinca, make a stop at Kelor Island for a spot of swimming and snorkeling in the turquoise waters. Relax on the pristine shoreline before making your way back to Labuan Bajo. Check in to your hotel and have the rest of the evening free for leisure time.  Day 2: The second day will be all about exploring Labuan Bajo. After breakfast, you’ll wander around the town and visit the local market to browse through the goods of the vendors. You’ll head to the stunning Mirror Caves next, known locally as the Batu Cermin Cave. Admire its sparkling walls and emerald green pool. From there, you’ll make your way to the airport, catch the next flight to Bali, and be shuttled safely back to your accommodation.

Fabulous time, with a lot of unexpected surprises.

I had a great time on my tour. FIrst the tour organizer was absolutely amazing in keeping with contact with me. I never had an organizer text me that the driver was literally outside my door waiting for me. All was semless. My guide, Anzi was fabulous. Not only was he knowledgeable about the dragons and area (frequently adding to the komodo guides in more depth), he also was so excited about things, it made e excited. When we weren't able to see manta rays because I arrived unexpectedly late in the day, it disappointed him. The snorkeling was fantastic, and a good cool off in between dragons. The food was the best I had in Indonesia, which is really saying something, considering it was made on a small swaying boat. Also, the hotel I stayed in on the second night was great, relaxing, and just what I needed. Overall, a really great, exciting yet relaxing trip. Only negative- on the boat I was on there was no toilet seat, which I understand is the norm, but can be a little cha

Such an amazing experience! Everything was so organised. James our tour guide picked us up and took us to the port where we would climb aboard the boat which we’d be staying on for the night! We both felt like pirates! It was so relaxing and we could chill on top off the roof where they had beanbags for us. We where supplied with plenty off food freshly cooked and also smoothies! We first stopped off at Rinca Island where we could see the Komodo dragons! then we climbed back onto the boat and headed to Kalong island to watch the bats fly from the cave, which there where thousands and wasn’t expecting it! On day 2 we woke up early and went to padar island which was a climb but what an amazing view you had after off the black, pink and white beaches! Then headed off to Komdo island, the pink beach and to the manta point where we went snorkelling with the manta rays! Couldn’t of asked for a better tour guide we both had Such an amazing time! Would definitely recommend!

This trip was amazing! There are no words to describe it. Beautiful landscapes, gorgeous animals and the guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I couldn’t have booked a better trip than this. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for an unforgettable experience. Absolutely fabulous.

Living in a boat was an experience - excellent food and nice slowly going atmosphere that fits perfectly to wonderful sceneries.
