What people are saying about Lagoa das Sete Cidades

We did a very nice excursion (hike, tasting and kayaking). The walk was two hours, most of it was downhill. During the walk we passed viewpoints such as visto do rei and there are constantly beautiful landscapes / views of the two lakes to see. The walk ended in the village of Sete Cidades where the tasting was also held. Then you have the opportunity to go kayaking. You will be picked up again with the van, you do not have to walk uphill. The guide spoke good English and had a nice chat with us. We had a private tour for just the two of us, which was a luxury as we had booked it as a group excursion. The van was excellent. In short, it is recommended to get acquainted with Sete Cidades in an active way and not just quickly get off the bus and look at the view. Tip; you have to take all the gear you need for kayaking with you during the walk. So make sure you have a backpack for your towel and dry clothes.

This was such a great experience! Our guide was incredibly informative, the views were incredible and the tasting was the perfect amount of food, as well as delicious. Definitely bring an extra swimsuit and/or an extra set of clothes and a towel for the kayaking - and sunscreen! There is a steep downhill at the end, which may be hard for people with bad knees. Highly recommend and an incredible value.
