Then visit the Cueva de los Verdes, a uniquely beautiful cave with an indescribable interior formed by volcanic eruptions. After passing through Arrieta and Mala, stop at the aloe museum where you will learn about the benefits of aloe. Continue to Guatiza to have a look to the prickly pears plantations where the natural dye, cochineal, is produced. Explore the old quarry where the famous artist César Manrique perfectly fused nature and art. Because I speak and understand Spanish, I went with the Spanish speaking tour. On the day I went there were so many bookings that the tour was split into a Spanish, English and French speaking bus. Tour guide Gaietano is an islander, and he is very good at telling stories about the island in historical, economic and ecological perspective in connection with the brilliant artist Cesar Manrique. Not only is he good at telling stories, he is also caring towards all travelers and knows exactly who has to get off when, for example. The bus driver was also great. He had to maneuver the bus through very narrow streets, turning in the most crazy places. The advantage of such a bus tour is that you do not have to queue at the places with a cash register.

Very nice experience, first time on this tour. The museum dedicated to the artist really deserves to be visited. Lunch is included and it was very good, buffet with various choices. The guide I found was very helpful, I chose in English but honestly he never put emphasis in his explanations thus making the speeches boring and often incomprehensible. In any case, I am happy with this trip.

A good tour, a little light on detail about Manrique himself and would have been nice to have an extra 15min in Teguise and also at the foundation but overall a decent day. Manfred, the guide, was particularly good guiding a very large party safely through the caves. Lunch was better than on some other tours so a good day out. Recommended
