Begin your tour by meeting your guide at the hotel and make your way together to the train station in Basel. An intercity train takes you within 2 hours to Interlaken, where you change to the local train. After 20 minutes, you will arrive at Lauterbrunnen, a small village at the end of the valley. While you change the train, have a look at the famous "Staubbach" waterfall. The cogwheel railway from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg takes 35 minutes, passing Wengen, a small alpine town known for winter sports and the annual FIS world cup downhill race. At Keine Scheidegg at 6600 ft above sea level, you will change onto the Jungfrau railway, which will take you within 40 minutes to the top. During the ride, the train will stop once in the middle of the tunnel for a scenic stop, where you will get off the train for 5 minutes.  Once you arrive at Jungfraujoch, your tour guide will lead you through the attractions of this destination. The walking tour will take approximately 1 hour inside the tunnel system. The sightseeing tour is protected from the weather outside and easily accessible. At the Sphinx Terraces and in good weather conditions, you may see the Black Forest in Germany. Visit the "Alpine Sensation" exhibition, a tribute to the construction work of the Jungfrau railway. You will continue through the ice cave to the plateau, a charming place outside in the middle of the snow. Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel and together, make your way to the train station at Interlaken East. From there, board a small local train for 20 minutes to Lauterbrunnen, where you will change onto a local bus. Travel for 15 minutes to the end of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, passing the Staubbach Waterfall, a helicopter base, and steep mountain walls. When you arrive in Stechelberg, change onto a cable car which runs through Grimmelwald and Mürren to Birg, which is 2100m above sea level. At Birg, your guide will lead you to the Thrill Walk, a steel structure, about 200 meters in length which hugs the face of the mountain and passes underneath the observation deck to the next cable car station. When you've reached the end, board the last section of the cable car. The gondola takes you up to 2970m above sea level, to a majestic world surrounded by mountains.  Explore the James Bond exhibition with your guide and marvel at the fascinating objects on display. Stop for lunch at the revolving restaurant which rotates 360 degrees within 45 minutes. Our trip today was amazing! Fun trip with amazing guide Monica. While Jungfraujoch may not be the tallest Mt in Switzerland, the sights and experiences at the ‘Top of Europe’ were highlights of our holiday.
