Hamburg Morning Tour: Reeperbahn, Port, and Fish Market
- Duration: 3 hours
The tour was great! Yes, the commentary is in German (as described), and our guide was cracking a fair number of jokes which might be harder to understand for a less proficient speaker. However, most of the facts (size of port, number of containers etc) of the port should be easier to understand. You get a nice round through the river portion and industrial section of the harbor, and see huge container ships, shipyards, recycling stations, and dry docks. Definitely recommend the 2 hour tour instead of just 1 hour!
All in all it was amazing. As we were only 4 guests, it felt like a private tour. Our tourguide was really nice. Five stars for her! Sadly I had to remove one star as the busdriver was a grumpy man. He didn‘t wanted to accept our mobile tickets and had no idea how to handle a qr code. Also his driving style was rather frightening.
Excellent tour but unfortunately the tour was just in German. I couldn't understand anything they told. Despite this, we had the chance to see and visit the whole harbour and the city from the water. No food, coffe or anything else on board!!
It was very enjoyable but it was a pity there was no English translation as, while we had the audio, we could not be party to the jokes the captain was sharing with the German speaking passengers.
It was an interesting tour of the Hamburg Harbour, we got audio guides from the main office at pier 6 and then we could find out all the info in english as the tour was in german. la
