What people are saying about Leiria District

We initially wanted to cancel the Fatima tour as we have been to other religious pilgrimage sites in this trip like Santiago de Compostela and Braga. We’re glad we didn’t as this tour happened to be the best tour we had in Portugal. The Fatima tour was amazing and gave us a deeper perspective as it was both religious and historical. We had a great seafood lunch at the picturesque seaside town of Nazare then off to the shell-shaped bay of Sao Martinho do Porto and the well-preserved medieval caste of Obidos. This tour combination is a must and I would highly recommend it to my Filipino friends. The best part of the tour is our tour guide Andre Feldman. He such a lively, knowledgeable and kind person. The depth of knowledge and insights in so many aspects of the tour are astonishing. He shows respect to the culture of others, speaks different languages and drives defensively unlike many ‘rally’ drivers in Lisbon. He is the best tour guide we have had in years. Thank you Andrei.

I had Andrea for the tour on Aug 23. Since I travelled from Porto I asked Andrea to pick me up at Fatima which is the first destination on the tour and Andrea and the company kindly accepted my request. The tour was all together 8 ppl's, 2 Italians, 2 Brazilian and our family, 3 Korean-Canadians. Andrea handled amazingly all 3 languages and all our requests during the tour. The whole day he tried to guide us what to do and what to know and Andrea made us enjoyable and comfortable. I strongly recommend Andrea for the day trip. I would not enjoy the day without Andrea that much. Also the restaurant that Andrea took us in Nazarre was the best! :) Thanks again Andrea and you are a gentleman! Hope you are well.

We had the most glorious day!! Hugo was our guide and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to travel with! He was very energetic, interested in who we were and what we wanted out of the trip and he allowed us to make our day exactly what we wanted it to be. We loved every stop and we were able to enjoy so much while at each place. He taught us so much about the history and uniqueness of each city and wasn’t a typical tour guide, it was like he was one of us. We enjoyed everything together and it really was an amazing tour.

Andre is knowledgeable and entertaining. The trip was enjoyable. Seen lots, All three places were good to see. We had a good group of eight. Andre was considerate, and excellent guide. Three of us (all over 70) were in the back seat and found it was a rough ride and not very easy to get in and out.

Super day trip from Lisbon seeing three great sites - each different but amazing.
