The Belem area received the vessels that departed to the Discoveries, and is a must-see place thanks to its fantastic historical places such as: Jerónimos Monastery, Cultural Centre of Belém (CCB), Belém Tower, Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the National Coach Museum.
Belem is steeped in history, so you'll need some time here to see everything. The open-top tour drives you everywhere, so you don't need to spend time searching for what there is to see. You will also be given information about each place so you already know something before visiting. Alternatively, if you don't have enough time to spend in Belem, the bus tour gives you the general views.
