The lady at the start was very informative and ensured we felt comfortable prior to leaving. The gocar itself is easy to drive and manoeuvre (it’s essentially a quad bike on 3 wheels). The GPS was handy although hard to follow at times. We took the Belem route which was beautiful and scenic. I would advise that 3 hours is more than sufficient and ensure you book online as the prices in store are significantly higher. The biggest issue was getting back to the starting point - the GPS takes you to the main road but not the side street its on so it took us an additional 30 minutes to make it back. I did try to feed this back to the gentleman at the end but he just spoke over me and wanted us out as the shop was busy. Despite this, I would recommend this as a fun way to explore the city and would certainly do it again.

I could not enjoy it because when booking on the net I had not read that a minimum age was required! you must be over 7 years old. my children have not reached this age, the experience falls to the water. Also, I do not understand, while insurance is paid and the law does not prohibit it. What is also bad is that the person who welcomes you tries to sell you another course than the one chosen and paid on the internet. It also tries to make you pay a penalty while it is included in the reservation via internet! Also avoid tuktuk via this company because the under 7 years are not accepted and the rates are triple or quadruple of what is practiced live. Ditto for trams! prefer the purchase of tickets at stops or in the tram because much cheaper than what is sold at your guide.

We booked a GoCar for Lisbon in advance of our trip. 4 hours tour. We didn't know anything about this offer or what a GoCar is. So we are without knowledge from there. After the formalities and a brief introduction, I and my wife (50 years) were let go of the Lisbon city traffic. It takes the first 10 minutes to find your way around with the GPS and the vehicle. And after that it was great fun to discover Lisbon in this way. You have to think of a GoCar as a kind of moped. Only that you sit next to each other like in a car and steer on the handlebars and also accelerate. The cobblestones are a stress test for the back. This can often be found in the old town. The other 2 routes are great to drive and also nice to look at. But you must ALWAYS drive with the car and also, as usual, take care of other road users. So not entirely harmless. But great !!!!
