Important information

Know before you go

  • This private walking tour is designed for families with kids aged 6-12 years old
  • Children under 36 months old (3 years) can join for free
  • Please ensure you and your kids wear comfortable clothes and shoes. A coat or sweater is useful even in summer time as it can be cold. Don't forget to bring a hat and sunglasses (in the summer), and make sure you apply sunscreen before starting the tour. Bring a raincoat in the winter or on rainy days
  • Please note that the pavement can be very irregular. Because Lisbon has many sloped streets (it is known as the "City of 7 Hills), the route may be difficult with baby strollers and pushchairs. If you need to bring one, make sure it is light and thin. Baby carriers, back carriers, or woven wraps and slings are a good option for babies and toddlers

It was an absolutely great family tour through Lisbon with the guide Maria. Maria was well prepared and the 3 hours up and down while exploring Lisbon on foot went by in a flash. Our children (8 and 12 years old) had a lot of fun solving the tasks and discovering the beautiful city. We can unreservedly recommend the tour, especially with the great guide Maria. THANK YOU Maria for the great time with you !!!

It was a great city tour!

The city tour was entertaining, lovingly designed and entertaining. Our children (10 and 12 years old) also found that the 3 hours went by in a flash. The fact that our guide Maria spoke German was crucial for the children. We all felt very comfortable. The pace of the tour and the content were very child-friendly. Thank you for this insight into the old town of Lisbon.

A must-do for families with kids in Lisbon

Since we are not the type of look into a guidebook, we booked this tour. We were picked up by Mariana at the agreed location. Even though our kids weren't speaking English, Mariana gave us all the time we needed for translating the given information into German. The tour itself was very interesting and we learned a lot about the history of Lisbon and why the Lisbon of today looks like this. The tour was mixed with information and challenges for the whole family. The information given were very lively presented including printed pictures or illustrations which supported the story. We recommend this tour for all families visiting Lisbon.
