Full description
Sintra leaves most visitors with a feeling of mystical enchantment. Its magical palaces, forests, Moorish castle and UNESCO World Heritage site city center are like a page from a fairy tale. You will start with a little walk through the mysterious Pena Park and discover secret caves and trails. Afterwards you will visit National Pena Palace, a marvelous palace from the 19th century that is also one of the most important examples of the Portuguese architecture from the Romantic period. Then you will head to the historical center of Sintra, where you’ll have free time to explore and to visit National Sintra Palace. After lunch, you will drive through the natural wonders of Sintra Natural Park, passing by several impressive palaces until you stop at the Roca Cape cliffs – the westernmost point of Continental Europe. Next you will take you for a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast; you will stop at the Guincho Beach (a surfer’s paradise) and afterwards pass by Boca do Inferno (Hell’s mouth cliff). Finally, enjoy a leisurely walk along the bay at the glamorous town of Cascais. Drive along the coast to Lisbon passing by Estoril and the casino.

Great and interesting tour.

We can only recommend the tour. The driver was very punctual and friendly. Unfortunately, he only spoke English, even though we had booked the tour in German, so the information was a bit short. But he tried and showed us some really sensational stretches of coast. A visit to the Palácio Nacional da Pena is also worthwhile, although the number of visitors is very large. All in all, this tour was an experience that enriched our stay in Lisbon.

Beautiful day! Our driver and guide António picked us up at the door of our apartment at the scheduled time. He gave us all the explanations and comments in impeccable French. Visit the Palace of Pena, stop at Cabo da Roca, at the westernmost point of the European continent. WoW! What a magnificent view of the cliffs near the sea. Exceptional decor! For dinner, António then made a reservation for us at a restaurant with a view of the sea. António never put any pressure on us even though we had to wait for our reservation which was late. After our meal, we visited Cascais and Estoril. To end the day, he dropped us off at our apartment! Thank you António! What a beautiful day!

Great excursion in a small group.

The excursion was booked with a German-speaking guide. Unfortunately, he was sick. We did the tour anyway. Was a great trip with only 5 people. Everywhere had enough time to look at everything. Only the great and detailed explanations in German would have been better understood by us. Thanks anyway
