Master the basic techniques of surfing at a 2-hour surf lesson on Praia de Carcavelos in Lisbon. Get a safety briefing on arrival and put on the provided wetsuit to start your journey to becoming a confident surfer. Practice pushing yourself off the board and find your balance on the beach before taking to the water with your tutor. Learn in a small group of no more than 15 participants to get personalized attention from an instructor accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation. From here you will take a short, scenic drive to either Carcavelos or Caparica, whichever has the best surf conditions on the day! Once you arrive at your destination, have a short meet and greet with your surfing instructors. Your professional instructors will give you a 2-hour surfing lesson - perfect for anyone just starting out! You will be given all the appropriate equipment you need to enjoy your surfing experience. Lessons will be tailored for all levels of surfing experience from complete new comer to experienced surfer. Enjoy the benefit of small groups meaning you will have plenty of time to spend with your instructor to learn everything you need.  In Summer you will be able to cross the "golden gate" bridge to go to the golden sandy beaches of Caparica (Praia do Infante) and in Winter time you will surf at Carcavelos, famous for hosting surfing events. Both beaches are only 10 to 20-minutes away from the city centre and your meeting point. After you've had plenty of time in the surf and put your lessons into practice you will be transferred back to your original meeting point, allowing you to end your day of fun in the sun in complete convenience. 

Travel from the Lisbon Zoo, taking in views of the rich coastline and its varied elements along the way to the Costa da Caparica, where the Tejo River (River Tagus) flows into the ocean. You will be provided with surf equipment and meet your instructor before beginning your surf experience.  After surfing take a break and visit a sunny fisherman village. Here, you will be given the opportunity to taste the fresh flavors of the Portuguese fish-based gastronomy. Marvel at the views of the spectacular protected landscapes and historical monuments in Arrábida Natural Park. After, enjoy a wine tasting in a historic cellar in one of the richest wine regions in Portugal, Setúbal.

Follow in the footsteps of legendary surfers, like Garrett McNamara, Sebastian Steudtner, Carlos Burle, Rodrigo Koxa, and many others, on a full-day private tour dedicated to the big waves of Nazaré. Following a pick-up from your hotel, head out to Nazaré, an approximately 1h15 drive. The described program is the full day standard program, but as this is a private tour, it can always be changed to best suit your preferences. After a quick tour of the traditional fishing village, go to the wave watching site where the waves can be enjoyed for as long as you wish. Take a break from watching the surfers, and go to Forte S. Miguel Arcanjo, the closest to the sea that you can get to without having to suit up and swim. Pause for lunch in one of the many seafood restaurants. Savor some of the best fish and seafood in the world. After lunch, and depending on the tides, there may be some more time to watch the waves before your return transfer to Lisbon. Alternatively, if there is still time and you prefer, you can visit one of the neighboring historical towns like Alcobaça or Obidos before the drop-off at your hotel at around 5:30 PM. If you select the Half Day program the focus will be only on the wave watching. Please note that waves or surfers in Nazaré cannot be guaranteed. The most probable time for waves to happen is between October and March but waves can only be predicted a few days in advance. If there are no waves or the time you wish to spend seeing them is shorter than allocated, we will always find alternatives in the nearby area to show you the best of Portugal's West Coast.

If you really want to learn or improve your surf skills, the surf school will offer you lessons for all levels and ages, from beginners to advanced. Everything you may need for your perfect surf vacation will be included such as the surfing equipment and amazing surf conditions to improve and develop your skills.  These 2-hour based surf lessons will take place in Costa da Caparica, always looking to the best and safest conditions for you. You will have the first session in the morning, followed by lunch and then another 2-hour lesson to finish the day.
