From Fátima: Sintra, Lisbon, and Cascais Private Tour

3. From Fátima: Sintra, Lisbon, and Cascais Private Tour

This tour can be customized according to what you want to visit and explore. Some people might want to visit monuments, others like to explore the city center, others will want to check out the local food. It's up to you. Let the local partner know and the perfect tour can be designed.  To begin, you will be picked up at your hotel before heading to Sintra or nearby areas. During the trip, learn about the history and culture of Portugal from your guide. Decide if you want to visit just one or several monuments as you explore the center of Sintra. Have lunch or a snack in either Sintra or Cascais. In Cascais, look at the ocean from Hell's Mouth and stroll through the village center where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafés. From Cascais to Lisbon travel by a scenic road with the Atlantic Ocean always at your side.  In Lisbon, there are plenty of things to see and do. In the Belem neighborhood, there's the Monastery of Jerónimos (a masterpiece from the XVI century), the Standard of Discoveries, and the view to the river Tejo. I the city center, you can walk by Augusta street and Rossio Square or go to the top of the Triumph Arch in Commercium square. There are also the typical old neighborhoods of Bairro Alto or Alfama (with the Cathedral, Saint Anthony Church and the amazing viewpoint of Portas do Sol), where Fado music came from. Of course, we can also visit the Oceanarium in the new Lisbon.

Lisbon: Parque das Nações Guided Walking Tour

4. Lisbon: Parque das Nações Guided Walking Tour

The most oriental neighborhood in Lisbon was until 1993 forgotten, abandoned and decadent. Containers, refineries, slaughterhouses, abandoned spaces and dirt, it was what we could find here. After 5 years of planning, cleaning, and building this new district became a weekend destination for lots of families, where international companies have their headquarters therefore an added value to Lisbon. This tour begins in front of the Oriente station, passing by the most iconic buildings, and street art, enjoying the green areas with plenty exotic and native trees. The subjects covered on this tour are: Botany, History, Architecture, Street Art and Economy.

This is a great deal Where you get three activities in one deal. Two kinds of yellow bus tours. Both to Old and New Lisbon City plus the Entry to the Oceanarium (Aquarium). You should do this activity in the first 2 days of arrival in Lisbon as it will provide you with an overview of the city. The audio guide commentary is very useful. Simply go to the Yellow Bus Tour Start point mentioned clearly in the instructions or get on the bus at any stop on the route. One complete bus loop will take around 60 minutes and I recommend at least 2-3 hours for the Oceanarium to soak up the experience and enjoy the trip without rushing it. Overall a great activity recommended for solo travelers, couples, friends, and families with kids of all ages.

Really enjoyed this tour of Lisbon. Preferred the old town tour one .. but both were at a good pace, the buses ran frequently so you never had to wait too long for the next.

We loved the flexibility of using the 2…dayb. The. Oceanarium entrance included was a wonderful. Best aquarium !

Cool way to get around town. Getting on and off was easy enough and the oceanarium was awesome

The buses on time, very friendly staff according to price quality
