Start your tour in the visitor's centre in the West Basement. Explore Western Approaches HQ, which was a top-secret bunker vital to the war effort during WWII. Explore the labyrinth of rooms where over 300 people secretly worked during the war years. Walk through hidden rooms and discover how operations in the bunker protected the tactics of the British Armed Forces on the Western Approaches. See the documents and tools which were used to monitor enemy convoys, and subsequently, inform the British government. Discover one of only two surviving wartime phones which had a direct connection to the London War Cabinet. See where Commanders, the Women's Royal Naval Service, and Women's Auxiliary Air Force personnel worked day and night in the Operations Room. Learn how they monitored convoy routes and vital shipping lines, pin-pointing enemy locations on a huge map wall. Discover a recreated war-torn street with shops, a pub and even an unexploded bomb, to get a sense of how life was for citizens during the war.

Visit Strawberry Field, a former Salvation Army children’s home in the suburbs of Liverpool, made famous by the 1967 Beatles’ song ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’. Through archival footage, photographs, timelines, and a specialist media guide, experience the world where John Lennon played as a child and what happened behind the famous red gates. Immerse yourself in the life and times of Lennon through interactive exhibitions, and then enjoy a walk through the garden and woods, which some visitors claim to be a spiritually lifting experience. At Strawberry Field, you can also learn about the links with the Salvation Army and the work carried out here today as part of the ‘Steps to Work’ program. After you’ve explored, relax with some refreshments at the Imagine More Cafe and wander through the onsite gift shop.

Be one of the first people to see Anfield from a completely different perspective and join us on the brand new Anfield Abseil. This is a must-do experience for all fans of Liverpool Football Club. This is your once in a lifetime opportunity to stand at the top of the Main Stand, enjoy a birds-eye view, and look out over the city before embarking on an exhilarating 100ft abseil down the side of the famous stadium. As you descend down into Paisley Square and 97 Avenue, stop midway next to the famous LFC crest. After the abseil visit the Liverpool FC Museum, which is home to Liverpool Football Club silverware and memorabilia.
