2. Best of Lombok: Tribe Villages, Traditions & Waterfalls

Immerse yourself in the north of Lombok, home to the Sasak tribe, on a full-day excursion that covers half of Lombok island. You’ll visit north, east, and central Lombok and your guide will include sites of particular interest to you. See traditional Sasak houses, the old mosque, Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, a traditional market, the Summer Palace, and much more. Drive to the Narmada Summer Palace and Royal Garden, built in 1718. Continue the tour to Sembalun Valley, located at the foot of Mt. Rinjani. The valley is the main starting point for treks up to the peak of Mt. Rinjani. When you arrive at one of the area’s strawberry plantations, you’ll have the chance to pick your own strawberries. From here, it’s on to Mt. Rinjani National Park, where you’ll learn about the second-highest peak in Indonesia. After enjoying time in the Sembalun Valley you’ll visit the Bayan old mosque, which was the first mosque in Lombok. Then you’ll have a chance to admire the Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, located on the north slope of Mt. Rinjani, about 600 meters above sea level. Feel the cold water, and take a shower there. Visit Senaru village, where mountain tribal life and the traditions of past centuries still exist. On the way back to your hotel you’ll make a final stop to see the sunset at Malimbu or Nipah cliff, with Mt. Agung Bali as the idyllic backdrop.

3. From Lombok: Private Gili Islands Trip w. Glass-Bottom Boat

Spend the day exploring the Gili Islands' breathtaking beauty, snorkeling in the clear waters, chilling at the beach, and watching marine life swim by through a glass-bottomed boat on this fun-filled full-day tour from Lombok. Discover what makes Gili Air, Meno, and Trawangan each unique. Get picked up from your accommodation early in the morning and travel to the Teluk Kodek Harbor, where you board a glass-bottom boat so that you can see the fish as they swim about in the waters below. The first stop is Gili Air. Don snorkeling equipment and dive into the clear waters of the island. If lucky, you might spot colorful fish, coral, maybe even a lurking turtle. Head to Gili Meno next and visit a turtle sanctuary before diving underwater to see the famous underwater statues called “The Nest”. Make sure to bring a waterproof phone case or waterproof camera to capture some photos of the unique art installation by sculptor Jason DeCaires Taylor. Have lunch at Gili Trawangan, and spend a few hours chilling by the shores or diving back in for some more Gili snorkeling and other water activities. Then head back to the harbor and return to Lombok to make your last stop of the tour. One of the best photo-op spots in the area, Malimbu Hill is a viewpoint that boasts scenic views of the sea and the shoreline. Snap a few photos to remember the trip by before returning to your accommodation.

Great half day snorkelling trip. Friendly and safe crew - currents around the Gilis are strong so was good to see a guide in the water and the boat never far away. Only criticism was that they didn’t actually tell you what each stop was and what you were looking for - so at Meno we didn’t realise we were seeing the underwater statues until we were on top of them

Rido Romance is the coolest guide you’re gonna get in Lombok. Having more than a decade of experience in Lombok’s tour guide industry, he sure knows all the spots to make your trip a dream. As a bonus, he has a beautiful voice to make long travel times much more entertaining. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience with everything running on time and our guide very flexible with allowing us to choose what to spend time on. They even allowed us to reschedule when I was sick at the last moment.

Had a great trip with my mom. Super friendly guides who also went snorkeling. Many fish and turtles seen by them. Would like to experience it again!

Tour with about 20 others, recommended for the price. The equipment was fairly new and the stops were spot on. Even found turtles
