Full description

Travel through the history of England on a full-day tour that takes in Royal towns, ancient archaeological marvels, and the home of Jane Austen.

Spend a delightful day in the English countryside exploring the Queen's favorite retreat of Windsor, the magnificent Georgian town of Bath, beautiful rolling hills, and much more. Depart London and head to Windsor which is dominated by the Castle and favored by the British monarchy since medieval times. You can buy a ticket and visit the castle during your stop here, or stay with your guide and explore this quaint river town, famed as the setting for Shakespeare’s play “The Merry Wives of Windsor."

It also has the shortest street in England and is the only town in England with a clock embedded in the pavement so you have no reason to be late for your next bus journey to Bath. This strangely-named town was founded by the Romans on the site of a thermal spring, Bath has been a fashionable town for centuries. Your guide will lead you on a walking tour of the major highlights, including some of the lovely Georgian terraces of the city center.

Then, enjoy some free time to explore on your own. Visit the Roman Baths, or go to the Jane Austen Center to learn about the author’s life and work. Continue to Stonehenge, one of the Wonders of the world. The pre-historic stone circle and its surroundings is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, and has recently been restored back to its original unaltered landscape.

Your guide will explain the research and theories behind the mysterious site to help you understand one of England’s greatest archaeological enigmas.

One of the best days I had while staying in London

I am so glad that my husband and I decided to book an excursion during out time in London. While I have seen Stonehenge before, this excursion allowed me to see areas I might not otherwise be able to see. My favorite part was our time in Lacock; wish we had just a bit more time to both have an authentic lunch and get to indulge in the abbey there!

Wonderful experience!

We really enjoyed our trip! Nick our guide was lovely! He gave us a lot of info on the places we've seen and he was very funny, which made the trip very entertaining as well. The driver, I think his name was Cliff, was very helpful . Driver and tour guides very friendly. If ever I return to England, I will book another trip with them. Thank you very much!

it was good!

It was a good day but we thought that we had short time in bath and a lot of time in stonhenge. The guide was really good and the cotswolds are amazing!! the tickets to the roman bath aren't included (15pounds each). In bath you have a tour with the guide (and it was really good!) but if you want to see the roman baths as well (which are amazing) you have to pay the extra amount and leave the guide-tour through bath before it is finished.
