Full description
Skip the line for VIP entrance into the Tower of London. Once inside you’ll watch the Opening Ceremony, a notable military ritual that officially opens the famous historical edifice. Following a brief overview from the Yeoman Warders – the tower guardians – you’ll be among the first people of the day to walk into the Jewel House to experience the Crown Jewels without the crowds that come later in the day. Next, your expert guide will lead you on a complete tour of the Tower of London, beginning with the Execution Site, on Tower Green, where many a noble lost their head. As you make your way from there to the Bloody Tower (where Sir Walter Raleigh was imprisoned for 13 years) and then to the Torture Chambers, you will get a firm sense of English history in all its gruesome forms. After a walk along the famous Tower Walls and a quick look inside the refurbished bedroom of Edward I, you’ll spy a “conspiracy” of the tower’s resident ravens. Your tour ends with a highlight as you step into the White Tower (the central tower, or ‘keep’), for a full tour of a refurbished medieval castle. Your guide will leave you inside the White Tower, but you'll be able to explore the other areas of the Tower of London on your own, including the Bestiary, Beauchamp Tower, and the Fusilier Museum. As the guided tour ends, you’ll also receive a flexible one-way boat pass for a London sightseeing river cruise to be used on any day and from any pier.

We really enjoyed our tour with Dominic. He was very knowledgeable and made the Tower come to life. Our 12-year-old son was engaged the whole time. We enjoyed getting early access to the Crown Jewels and even went through the moving walkway 3 times to see them. This tour was a bit pricey but the early access, no waiting in line and the knowledge of our guide was worth it. Plan an extra hour after the tour to see the White Tower on your own. Highly recommend!

Brilliant and informative tour hosted my an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide! Highly recommended to learn about the Tower of London. This tour was particularly special as we were able to witness the opening ceremony (ceremony of the keys) and be the first to see the crown jewels before it became too crowded. Plenty of time to explore on your own after the tour has finished.

We had a wonderful experience with Nick, our tour guide. The meet up location was easy to find and the tour started promptly. Our group was small (about 6-8 people) and very manageable. Nick was extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand. It was a real treat to be there for the opening ceremony of the Tower of London and the Yoemen Warder who narrated the ceremony was just grumpy enough to make you feel like you were back in the Victorian Era. The Crown Jewel exhibit was spectacular. The guided part of the tour was a perfect length for my attention span, and then it was nice to have all time we wanted after the guided tour was over to wander around and explore more and take photos (we spend about an hour extra after the tour). I highly recommend this tour! And may I suggest also touring the Tower Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral on the same day. The Tower Bridge is super close and then it's a nice walk down along the Thames to St. Paul's.
