Full description
Drive to Windsor Castle in the Royal Borough of Berkshire to explore more than 900 years of royal history. From William the Conqueror, all the way through to the current Queen, successive English monarchs have lived, ruled and left their mark on what is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. Your ticket allows entrance to the castle, where you can marvel at the splendor of St. George’s Chapel, and see the sumptuous state apartments. Take some time to wander around the pretty town, full of traditional shops and historic pubs. Shakespeare is said to have written his play “The Merry Wives of Windsor” in one of them! Return to London for an authentic fish and chips lunch in a traditional English pub, and the end of tour services.

Very good. At the end of the year there is much more movement of tourists, however we arrived early and so we were among the first to enter. The castle is a marvel and I especially liked the luxurious State Rooms and the Chapel where Harry and Meghan were married. A SPECIAL WORD FOR OUR GUIDE - GAVIN- a fantastic person and great entertainer, great professional that made the trip unforgettable. Congratulations GAVIN!

Enough time to visit Windsor Castle

Organizationally, something was rescheduled (merged with a second group) - but it was all morning to see everything at Windsor Castle (church, dollhouse, personal rooms and the changing of the guards) - afterwards you were taken straight to the cozy pub, where it was (Really good) food / fish and chips with peas.

Nice impression of one of the oldest castles in England

Recommended "half-day trip" with a good audio guide to get an impression of the Queen's residence outside of London.
