My 11 year old son was fascinated by this museum; he read every thing there was on every exhibit! We could have spent all day there, having arrived at 3pm. Great museum for children; full of history, not much modern exhibits unfortunately. Also, not great sign posting so we did get lost a few times and know we missed a lot too. Will definitely return though. Some carriages were open and you can climb aboard! Never found the cafe! Good souvenir shop; would be nice to learn about modern railways there - maybe that’s to come! Do go, you won’t regret it.

Myself and my boyfriend went for his 21st birthday to the transport museum and it was incredible. Seeing all the old busses and trains was amazing, like travelling back in time. We only went together, but I would also recommend this for children, as there is a lot of things for children to do and play with. Would 100% go again, fabulous time.

Lovely day out. Very easy to find/book/pay. Half term and rainy day, the worse combination so I decided to go somewhere with my daughter to keep her busy and to enjoy herself. We had an amazing day and definitely will return for more fun. Also, for an extra £2 I upgraded my daily pas to an early pass. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with anything you might need, clean toilets, separate baby changing room and a coffee shop where I had a nice coffee and a soft play area which made my daughter's day. I recommend this place, for young and adults.
