Tenerife: Whale and Dolphin Tour with Underwater Views

1. Tenerife: Whale and Dolphin Tour with Underwater Views

Discover the majestic of playful whales and dolphins on this catamaran cruise from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Choose between a 2-hour and a 3-hour tour, with the latter including lunch, drinks, and a swim stop in the waters of Playa Blanca Bay. Hop aboard your stylish catamaran, which features underwater viewing stations. Pick a spot on deck to view the many sights in-store during this tour. As you head out from the harbor, your professional crew will use their local knowledge to track the families of whales and dolphins who live near the island year-round. Hear an introduction speech from your guide, including a demonstration of safety vests.   Sail along the coastline past Adeje, Guia de Isora, and Santiago del Teide, where pods of spirited dolphins and groups of pilot whales are a common sight. If you are lucky enough to spot them, spend a few minutes below deck and observe them from a vantage point underneath the water's surface. Then, enjoy a cold beer or a glass of sangria along with lunch back on deck (if you book the 3-hour option). The boat will return to Puerto Colon and if you have booked a transfer, your bus will take you back to your pickup point.

What people are saying about Los Cristianos

It was a great tour for us with two young children. We chose seats on the closed main deck. But you can also sit on the upper deck. There was enough space for about 200 guests, it wasn't too cramped. On the lower deck are the underwater windows, where you can look out for whales at any time, even while sailing. There are drinks in self-service and there are enough toilets. During the outward journey, some became nauseous, but the crew takes good care of those who are suffering. We were lucky and were able to see dolphins up close on the way to Los Gigantes. The swimming stop in Masca Bay was a lot of fun. There we had a warm lunch (rice, meatballs with sauce, salad), we liked it. The crew had a good handle on the serving. On the way back we saw pilot whales. There was information in several languages over loudspeakers, unfortunately not well audible everywhere.

I went on this with my family and it was absolutely amazing! We saw both whales and dolphines and the whole experience was beautiful! The stop was great although far to hard to swim with young kids and behind the boat is very choppy waters, otherwise amazing trip, would definitely recommend doing it

Hey, everyone! The trip was excellent, had a stop next to the Los Gigantes to swim, that was amazing. We’ve seen dolphins and whales quite close, also the underwater experience was wonderful, never been to a such thing. Thank you! It worth money 100%

Very nice activity, we enjoyed this outing. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We saw dolphins and whales and we swam in a very pretty little cove. I recommend this outing

This excursion is worth doing, it's short, it doesn't take up much time and it's great...we saw dolphins and whales in their natural habitat. 100% recommendable
