Full description
Your bike wine tour and tasting starts with a visit of the town center of Lucca, and the countryside of some villages such as Meati, Gattaiola San Donato and vicopelago. You will travel partnered with a safe and efficient e-bike, and an expert live guide who will help you understand the complexity of the “vineyard” ecosystem and its agriculture with a low environmental impact. You will begin your wine tasting in a comfortable room, allowing you to grasp the organoleptic complexity and have a better understanding of them. The visit will end up with a light taste of local products like bread, charcuterie and oil to compliment the wines. All the different chapters will be discussed directly in the vineyards, cellar and tasting room in a very simple way, in order for you to easily understand even the most apparently complicated concepts.

Fantastic guide. Delicious lunch. Friendly family-run vineyard.

What a fun few hours spent with Luca, our guide. He spoke excellent English and gave us a very interesting tour around Lucca outlining the history and various landmarks. There seemed to be no question he couldn't answer! The bikes were easy to handle and in good condition and the small family-run vineyard was like being invited to lunch by distant family. The tour was very simple, showing winemaking on a small scale but they answered any questions we had and we got to try 3 very nice wines with a delicious lunch. There was no hard sell to get us to buy more wine, but we did anyway! Just as we were due to leave the heavens opened so we were invited back in to drink coffee until the rain had passed. Throughout the day we felt we got very personal service and were not rushed on to the next stage at any time. I would highly recommend this tour.

Best way to tour the charming city and experience the family winery

My adult daughters and I had a memorable day in Lucca! The electric bikes made it so easy to get out of the City and climb the hills in the countryside. Our tour guide Luca was charming and so knowledgeable. It is so rare to find a tour like this that lets you experience a historic city and enjoy home grown wine and local food. Well worth it!

What a wonderful experience. Our guide Luca was fantastic. Recommend!

We had a fantastic time. Luca, our guide, was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The farm he took us to was lovely and Carlo & Eva could not have been nicer. Our lunch and wine was delicious. Highly recommend.
