The venue itself was very cool. There were artists working on building characters for future floats, and the displays were colorful and fabulously fun. There is a short video of general information about the Mardi Gras parade, a very small piece of King cake to try, and a gift shop at the end of the tour. The venue is a warehouse, and on the day we were there, the doors were all open, so while it's probably rainproof, it wouldn't be pleasant on a very cold or hot day. There are lots and lots of photo opportunities. I will comment that the shuttle service could have been much better. I called for a shuttle at 9 AM, and was told that it was leaving right away. We were the only two people being picked up and he did not arrive until 9:30 AM. He did not leave until 12 minutes after the call and had to stop for gas first. Then his only word to us was "sanitize", to use the hand wash, said nothing else, and did not wear a seat belt. His dashboard did have signs suggesting tips.

An absolute MUST for any visitor! This guided tour, plus free time touring afterwards, was so informative. The home base of ALL parade floats - computer aided design, construction, painting, then storing in this, the largest, and many more storage-only warehouses throughout New Orleans.

A great way to see and learn the history about New Orleans. Each tour guide had different bits to add on each trip. Very congenial. Would definitely do the trip again.

Very informative. Nice look at behind the scenes of what goes into mardi gras. Learned a lot about mardi gras. Impressed how much work goes into the celebration.

Easy pickup and convenient, super cool to look around and learn the history about Mardi Gras
