Full description
The day begins with pickup from your accommodation and heads to the enchanting and picturesque Jardin Majorelle, a botanical garden formerly owned by Yves Saint Laurent. Stroll through the luscious trees and exotic plants of this magical oasis, admiring the view of water lilies and lotus flowers that float in the ponds. Continue the tour to the Berber Museum where you can get a greater understanding of Moroccan identity. The museum showcases the impressive creativity of the Berbers, and provides an overview of their vibrant culture, featuring artifacts, ethnic costumes, and fabulous jewelry. Head into the New City next, which was built by French settlers in the early 1900s. Today it is a busy hub of international brands and trendy cafés, as well as "the Champs Elysées of Marrakech". Later, visit the exquisite Bahia Palace to admire the fine Moorish architecture and gorgeous ceramic tiles. From here, stroll through the Jewish Quarter where you can get a better understanding of the important role of the Jewish culture and community in developing the unique identity of Marrakech. Stop by Morocco’s largest synagogue, Slat Al Azama, which was founded in 1492 by Jews who were expelled from Spain. Arrive at the stunning Moulay El Yazid Mosque then see the Bab Agnaou, one of the 19 gates of Marrakech and the main entrance to the Royal Kasbah. Finally, wander through the fascinating labyrinths of the city's most vibrant and colorful open-air marketplace. Wander through bazaars full of charm and character, stalls packed with mysterious potions, colorful piles of spices, exquisite rugs, and much more. The combination of sounds, sights, and smells are enough to leave even the most hardened of travelers feeling completely mesmerized.

We had the most amazing day today with our guide, Yaya. He was really knowledgeable about all of the places on the tour, took us off the beaten path to see Marrakech as a local, including some really tasty treats. If you want to have a great day in Marrakech with a really friendly fun guy who knows his stuff, then Yaya is your man.
