As a first time snorkeler, I had a very good experience doing this in Maui! I'm 46 yo and know the basics of swimming but not comfortable in water. Tristan and his crew were super nice/professional and made me feel safe and supported. The only hiccup is that we had to change beaches at the last minute due to choppy waters at Wailea beach. We had to drive about 45 min to Baby Beach which is a good beach but there are no bathrooms or showers in the area. So if you need to go number 2, you're out of luck and you will be sandy on the car ride back. There was a couple of complete non-swimmers (petrified in water) in the group so the guides focused their attention on those people. I got a little sick due to motion sickness and my guide helped me get back to shore so I am grateful to her. My only suggestion to make this a better experience is to create a section for "basic swimmers" (people who can swim but not great at it) so that they can get more snorkeling time.

Absolutely amazing experience. Team made me and my husband feel very safe while still pushing us out of our comfort zone. They took a very personalized approach and gave each individual what they needed. The snorkeling itself is incredible. Beautiful, clear water. Abundant fish around the coral. We even saw several playful turtles! 10/10

Tristian is an amazing leader. Even if you’ve never swam before he makes it so you can enjoy the ocean safely. 10/10 experience. He’s got a passion for this and it truly shows. Thank you again for making our trip so special and making the ocean a bit less scary for us. PS: we saw 4 turtles that were humongous!! Mahalo
