According to historians and archaeologists, the Chellah site was undoubtedly the most ancient human agglomeration ever set on the estuary of the Bouregreg River. For proof, one can allude to the numerous trading posts founded by the Phoenicians and Carthaginians. Standing on a hilltop that overlooks the river, the Chellah necropolis is a magical space surrounded by a thousand mysteries. Duration: 45 minutes. - Royal Palace of Rabat The construction of the royal palace of Rabat began in the middle of the 19th century on the ruins of an ancient palace. Also called Dar El Makhzen, majestic and protective, the building is a fine example of Moroccan art. Later on, you will depart to Rabat. Stopping for lunch then having a sightseeing tour of the administrative capital of Morocco. You will visit the Royal Palace, The Mausoleum of Mohamed V and the Hassan Tower, the minaret of incomplete mosque initiated by The Almohad ruler, Yaacoub al-Mansour. You may also visit The Kasbah des Oudaias, white houses with blue painted parapets located near to the Atlantic coast. Dinner and overnight at hotel. DAY 3 Rabat – Meknes – Fes Today After breakfast at hotel, you will travel to Meknes then to the nearby city Fes. Mr Fettah was very knowledgeable and informative throughout the whole tour! We started in Rabat Ville train station and walked to Mohammed 5th avenue, St Peter's cathedral, Hassan tower, old medina streets and Kasbah of Oudayas. Mr Fettah explained everything in such a detailed manner which showed how he was passionate about explaining the history and cultural aspects. Very lovely and entertaining tour. Would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the city for the 1st time!

Exceptional is the adjective that I would use to describe our experience yesterday on our walking tour with Hassan. He was a fantastic guide demonstrating his expansive knowledge of the culture of Morocco’s historical. He went above and beyond!
