Cooking and sharing a meal is a great cultural experience. Join a Canadian-born chef who has created a community cooking project and learn how to prepare some typical Colombian dishes. At the end of the lesson, enjoy your meal together. All proceeds from the experience go to the community foundation.  The experience begins with pickup from your accommodation in Medellín. With a local guide, walk through the tramway of Ayacucho, an icon of the current transformation of the city. As you walk, you will learn more about the social change that this project has brought. See how young people have taken over the walls through green works of art. Next, visit a typical market to buy the ingredients. Learn about the fruits and vegetables that go into Colombian cooking and take in the colors and smells of the market.  Once in the kitchen, the chef will explain how to prepare the dish and you will finish making it together. At the end of the experience, enjoy your homemade Colombian meal.
