Organization was really fine, everything worked out and Tara was a very nice and funny guide. To watch the penguin parade was a great experience, too. So funny and cute to watch the little guys walking along the seaside to their homes. Maybe good to know: Photography is not allowed with the penguins, but at all other events it's no problem. Take warm clothes (windbreaker, scarf and cap) for the penguins, because in late evening/night it gets really cold with the wind at the beach. Not as good as expected the go-together with the Koalas. It's quite expensive to get in touch with them (~30 AUD) for a quick photo - and that's all. No option for stay longer close to them, maybe little feeding or just watch them close. And my photo wasn't that nice, too (couldn't see it before printed :\). So think about the Koala photo (you have to wait in queue -> time loss), but at all I would recommend the tour and do again :)

This trip is really all about the penguins which was just magical. The animal farm is really for children and the visit to to chocolate factory and beach, whilst pleasant, did feel like the operator was trying to fill the day. Good (and necessary) for a solo traveller but if you’re in a group I’d recommend hiring a car and doing it yourself.

Very well organized outing, we were not bored for a moment. We got to see koalas, wallabies, kangaroos and Tasmanian devils up close. The visit to the chocolate factory (chosen rather than the helicopter, we also had the right to the superb beach) is really fun. The Penguin parade site is superb. As for the Pinguoins parade, we waited for them in the cold and the wind (early January, however) on the platform set up on the beach, while staying on the fitted bridge, we observed them very closely. Given their pace and the direction taken, they certainly did not want to swim that night !!!
