What people are saying about Memphis, Tennessee

Our guide was excellent. Unfortunately, it was drizzling rain, and with the COVID restrictions, we didn't see or do much. We got out of the bus at Victorian Village to look at the outside of a house and got out at the Lorraine Hotel. We didn't even go by the Orpheum Theater, Gibson Guitar Factory (which I think no longer exists), or historic Cotton Row, nor did we go into the Peabody Hotel or Lansky Brothers. We did have lunch at Central BBQ, which was good. I'm not sure I would recommend this tour as long as COVID restrictions are in place.

Fantastic, immersive experience that gives you a terrific background and picture of soul/funk/R&B and how Black music was born and evolved over the 20th century, as well as how Stax fit into that picture and advanced it.

This museum is really well done. Uniquely, it ties together all of the hit making studios ( Motown, Sun, Muscle Shoals, STAX) and explains their relationship to each other.

Stax was a great place to visit! The staff was helpful and pleasant, and there is an amazing collection of memorabilia, music, and history.

Loved walking the streets and learning about the start of the city and how it has evolved
