What people are saying about Mexico City
I was nervous about the tour because of it being at night and how busy Mexico City is. But those feelings were resolved fairly quickly. The second I stepped into the facility the owner Gabby observed and acknowledged that I was going to need to shorter bike. I have taken several bike tours around the world and this was the first time I did not have to ask for a shorter bike. Mexico City is an extremely bike friendly place. They are able to stop traffic therfore the group was able to stay together. My husband and I felt very safe with the bike tour and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Gabby has a passion and is proud of her heritage. We learned so much about Mexico City. We would like to visit Mexico City again and will contact Gabby for additional tours. Thank you Gabby.
You can easily rent a bike and ride around and look at the city yourself, which is highly recommended in any case. But if you want to go directly to the things that are most interesting then having a tour guide is the best way to go about it. If you happen to be in the city on a Sunday, some of the major avenues are closed including La Reformer Avenue and you can ride a bike from Chapeltepec park all the way to the church of Guadalupe but this is not part of any tour. Make sure you bring a bike lock so that you can leave the bike. If you do go to the church of Guadalupe make sure that you climb the stairs behind the church to the very top to see another church and I’m much better view.
It was a wonderful tour, greatly organized and enriching, and fascinating of course. From the punctual pickup at my hotel, to the smooth arrival, to the first 2 hours of a fascinating tour inside Teotihuacan itself, to the next few hours of a bike ride to more fascinating ancient places around, to the visit in an amazing obsidian workshop and then the traditional meal in a restaurant that was included in the tour and costed me nothing besides the tip - everything was perfect, just perfect!
Gaby has vast cultural and historical knowledge. Safe and fun outing. Great value for the money. We enjoyed it so much we rented bikes the next day and we're looking for another tour from Gaby.
Eduardo was very informative. He was such a great guide! Will definitely book this tour again.
