We started the tour in the Museum of Anthtropology and stayed there more than 3 hours. A wonderfull start. The museum is a must-see because of the most comprehensive presentation of the pre-spanish aera. After a short lunch break our guide Edgar took us on a walking tour around the city center of Mexico City. This completed this first introduction to the city. It was really good being on this tour with 8 people only. No doubt Edgar is very knowledgeable but he MUST improve his English! In many cases it was nearly impossible to spot what he wanted to put across to us. Members from the group helped me which was really good. In the end I was a bit disappointed that the pick-up from my hotel did not work out. I must admit my hotel was not in Mexico City itself. But that this would be prohibitve to the pick-up was not clearly stated in the terms of the tour. A big plus was the phone help-line of Get-your-guide. Easy access, reliable and competent. Go for this tour!
This experience was amazing! Doing the hot air balloons over the Teotihuacan Temples was such a fun and relaxing experience with great pictures. I’m glad this tour involved flying over and also walking through the archaeology zones. The hot air balloon company, Sky Air Balloons, I think is one of the best companies for doing this activity. They give you a free locker for your backpack before the hot air balloon, free coffee and sweet bread, and then after the ride they had a large buffet breakfast that was delicious. It was a very long day though, and there were a few stops along the way I didn’t expect like a underground cave restaurant and another restaurant/Aztec museum. Each had a quick informative tour about the Aztec culture, agave plant, and day of the dead history as well as some free mezcal, tequila, cactus juice, honey water tastings. Overall it was a very fun day and worth the trip!
I was in Mexico City for a week and so anxious to see some of the traditional dance that I had witnessed from Mexican visitors to my community years ago. Had earlier toured the building to see the murals. But I was unprepared for the vivacity and choreography of the show... took my breath away. Plus the that night the dancers honored survivors of the 1968 shooting and that was poignant for me.
LuLu was amazing and very knowledgeable of the area as well as the history of CDMX. We even did an extra stop to CU to see the campus. The Frida Kahlo museum was Beautiful and she got us in immediately without having to wait too long. Highly recommend!
It was wonderful, the services were awesome and the view was breathtaking, lot of balloons taking flights together. Just one thing to note is GetYourGuide sends you the QR code Voucher while the vendor accepts the bar code voucher so get that too.
