Our guide, Tania, had a wealth of knowledge about the Alcazaba and the history of Malaga and AL Andaluz in general. Although the Alcazaba is not large or intact like the Moorish palaces of Seville or Granada, it was worth the visit and also having a guide. The tour included the Teatro Romano and Cathedral, both of which can be viewed on their own, but worth the modest sum of having a guide. Pace was perfect and after 3 hours, you are in the center of the historic district for more casual exploring. A productive and informative walk with a small group made the time well spent. Highly RECOMMEND.

Finding the starting point at the tour office was a little tricky as the taxi could only take us to the end of the plaza. With the help of locals we found it tucked away in an alley off the main plaza. Our guide was very passionate about her city of Malaga and took us on a history tour throughout. Plenty of time was allowed for photos and questions. It was an easy walk at a manageable pace.

Malaga on pie

The tours starts a bit delayed. We were waiting for people which were not in time at the meeting point. The price was not the one I already had paid to GetYourGuide, therefore I had to additional 8 EUR. But the tour itself was very interesting and informativ. My recommendation is to invest this three hour during your Malaga trip. It is worth it.
