As others have said, there is a fair bit of 'other activities' before the wine part, but host is excellent, and very flexible in time. Very passionate about their business, so I would recommend generally, and especially, if you want to learn a little bit more about the area. The information on cork trees was amazing....who knew?

The tour was awesome! The castle in Silves was beautiful and our guide António really gave us interesting information. The visit to the thermal springs in Monchique was a nice stop on the way to the top of the mountain. The guide is very well informed about the local flora and fauna. The winery was beautiful and the wine tasted very good after such a day. The transport in Antónios van is very comfortabele. He also tells about the surroundings and has a lot of knowledge about the places you're visiting. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another tour with him two days later. Had a really amazing day we were shown small villages around Monchique (and Monchique itself). We made several stops up the mountain until we got to the top. Throughout the tour, we had several laughs and were taught about the wildlife, flora and history. The guide was able to answer all of my questions with extensive knowledge and made everybody feel more than welcome. At the top of the mountain, we could see all the way from Faro to Lagos (on one side) and then all the way to the West Coast of Portugal. We got to try free liquors and shop at gift stores on the way. I really couldn't recommend the trip enough great value for money and the guide hopped between a few different languages, so it's fine if you don't speak Portuguese!

We were picked up from the hotel on time. Our driver, Miguel, spoke German fairly well. He drove us safely to the lookout points. The safari was very educational and well organized. Everything was very good and a lot of fun.

Perfect wine tasting experience ever! David is such a great host. Very cheerful, friendly and sharing lots of information with us. Highly recommended!
