Tomblos our driver contacted us a day before to make sure he had the right pick up location, the drive went very well and we could sleep the whole way. He was also waiting for us when we can back from the hike. Our tour guide Kuas was amazing ! The experience was perfect, he suggested us to go earlier to avoid the crowd and find a less crowded spot on top and so we did. It was amazing and it did not feel too crowded. He took us to a sport were we where alone and we cooked the eggs with the volcano steam before everyone else came. He was so enthusiastic, made us breakfast, and stopped on the hike for short breaks exactly when needed. It was lovely and he made the experience even better ! Thank you so much

Ended up doing the sunset hike. Guide (Juliett?) was AWESOME. He was super engaged and clearly loved his job. Basically did a photoshoot for us at various points. Volcano steam was super cool and the view at the top was incredible. Driver was very prompt and professional, and was very engaging as well.

Okay so prepare yourself, if cardio isn’t your thing (or if you’re a smoker/vaper) it’s definitely more challenging than is described to be, it’s a heavy continuous steep incline and takes around 2 hours - The guides however don’t struggle at all and make it look super easy :’) Bring water with you or cash to buy more on the way up! Personally found 1 small bottle was not enough. BUT all that said, once you reach the top, clear sky or cloud, it’s breathtaking and rewarding. Our drivers were lovely, so informative and friendly and our group guide was SO patient and helpful, offering a hand up, always standing in front on our way down; ready to catch any unsteady steps, a great photographer, shared so much history and facts about the volcano, the nature and the surrounds. Shared stories about himself and asked us all about ourselves. Such a lovely, kind and pleasant gentleman. Felt in safe hands. Definitely recommend booking the tour through GetYourGuide.
