The whole travel was stress free with amazing views all throughout the journey. The blue colour of lake pukaki is incredible, however the mount cook and other mountain ranges around made it perfect, as well as the short walk to hooker track that offers heaps of spots where you can relax and appreciate the glacier with the sound falling ice from afar. I bet everyone who visited wants to go back, including myself. Plus the tour guide is cheeky and friendly who knows what to say and also considerative to grant request like when we stop at the side of the road just down the mount cook village for photos.

Definitely a must-do for people who enjoy walking/hiking in nature. On a sunny day, in particular, the views you get are just breathtaking. The bus is quite small and some of the roads can be quite windy, however, so people who are tall, have back pains etc., might find the ride uncomfortable. Also, there are 3 swing bridges at Mt. Cook--they are safe of course, but my friend who is a bit afraid of heights had some trouble crossing them. Our guide Callum was organised, helpful and full of energy. Overall, a great trip.

We originally were booked for the combo but the weather on the day we had booked was not expected to be very good. We ended up doing the ski plane flight over the west coast and then a glacier landing. Amazing experience, everything is very different from above. Peter our pilot had to stay back for our flight, he made the experience even better with his personality and humour. Would definitely recommend.

Our day trip to Aoraki was easily the best day of our entire stay in Queenstown. Our guide Kreig’s commentary was informative and interesting and because we were a small group, it seemed more intimate. There were lots of stops on the way there and back for photo ops, the landscape of course was stunning so it was great that we were given multiple opportunities to stop and take it all in.

Small group so our guide was able to keep the tour flexible. Dan was our tour guide and he is a Lord of the Rings expert! So he was able to keep us entertained with interesting facts and humour too. That’s why it’s called the Cheeky Kiwi! We had a great time with stops along the way and his recommendations were spot on.
