Enjoy stunning views from the Djebel Toubkal, the most famous peak in the Atlas Mountian Range, and explore Berber farms and villages on an overnight trek from Marrakech. Day 1 Walking time: 5h30 Altitude: 1,200 meters The adventure starts with hotel pick up from central Marrakech, where you will travel 2 hours in a private minibus to the mountain village of Imlil, the gateway to the Toubkal Massif. Leave your bags with the porters and begin the ascent towards the refuge following a network of canals that irrigate the terraced crops. After the lunch break in the village of Sidi Chamarouch, the terrain becomes rocky and more arid. Walk past young shepherds and their flocks on the way to the Toubkal Refuge, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Day 2 Walking time: 9h Altitude: 1,050 meters Start the day early and trek along a large ridge towards the summit. From the top, enjoy views of the surrounding Atlas Mountains as well as the plains of Haouz to the North and Ouarzazate to the South. Descend down the same path and enjoy a picnic lunch before reaching Imlil. The driver will be waiting in the village for the 2-hour return journey to Marrakech.
