We booked this tour with an english speaking guide to make sure we understood what we were seeing. Well worth it. You could try doing it independently but you would miss so much information. Our guide Olga arrived and was excellent from the very outset. Her knowledge and passion for the tour was exceptional. Peter and Paul fortress excellent, followed by church of the spilled blood and onto St Isaac cathedral. Although we were the only two on the tour we found Olga made us feel like a member of her own family when it came to stop for a traditional russian lunch. When it came to the highlight of the tour which was the Hermitage museum this is where the expert guide Olga made the tour worth every penny. Her knowledge as we said earlier was brilliant. Booking through Get your guide was the first time we have booked experiences online but will definitely be using this website in the future. Rob and Vanessa Newell

Our guide Katya was absolutely punctual. She was very friendly and had very good knowledge of the museum. Her English was excellent and she was always ready to help with pictures. The Faberge museum is new, opened only in 2013, but it is a must-visit. The pieces of jewellery and other artefacts by the Faberge company and some other great jewellers of Russia are mind-boggling. The beauty and intricate artwork is just wow. Piece de resistance was the royal easter eggs. I had heard about them, but seeing them is something totally different.

Fascinating tour. Guide was knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. The ownwe of the agency made sure that we were able to meet the guide and followed up with assistance on a couple of other things. Definitely would repeat this experience and work with this agency.

Elena was great company and although it was just my wife and I who were shown around which made it a fairly expensive visit (over (£100) it was a brilliant afternoon and to top it off Elena made some great recommendations.

It is good value for money! Egg-cellent and eggs-traordinary showcase of the Imperial Easter eggs, other valuable treasures and fine arts!
