The walking tour was a great way to learn about life in Naples. Our guide Flávio was excellent. He pointed out so many places of interest. He was very knowledgeable. His English was excellent. We were lucky there were only four of us on the tour. The old Naples underground is worth a visit. Flávio explained all about life etc during that period. We visited lovely piazza’s . The old streets are narrow and exciting . We also went through the main shopping area Toledo and saw the Spanish Quarters. Traffic is unbelievable cars , motorbikes and the wonderful Vespa’s everywhere. Don’t expect to see pedestrian areas for leisurely strolls. The fish, vegetable & clothes stalls were interesting as was the Nativity St. Limoncello & pizza is amazing. Our experience on the tour was exciting. Weather was lovely a good time to visit Naples.

The guide was late and since the site tells you to get their early this made him even more late. Once we got going though I found all the locations very interesting and I enjoyed learning the history of them. I had already seen the area but glad I took the tour. One part I didn't even realize was there had he not shown us. The only downside was we were taken into the THE MOST CROWDED area of the old historic district and it was impossible to pass. I left the group at that point. We should have been detoured or at the least taken their first then walked to other areas that wouldn't have been as crazy.

Italo was our guide and expertly juggled Italian and English throughout the informative and comprehensive tour. (He also assisted a Spanish-soeaking couple with directions in the midst of the tour!) The itinerary included major Neapolitan sites, including Castel Nuovo, Reale di Napoli (Royal Palace of Naples), Galleria Umberto I, Via Toledo, Basilica Di Santa Chiara, Spaccanapoli, and the great reveal of the jaw-dropping underground remains of Neapolis, Napoli's Greek-founded ancestor from the 5th century BCE. Italo provided two opportunities for free time that allowed clients to explore on their own, shop, or sample local gastronomy. He was inviting of questions and clearly has a broad knowledge of and deep passion for his home town. This tour was well worth the money and time.
