One such, very famous, example is that of Lodhi Art District which is Delhi’s first open-air street art district. At the very core of this district is the concept of rejuvenating the public spaces of the city with bright colors and murals inspired by nature, societal issues, iconic faces, etc. Come with us as we cycle our way through this neighborhood and understand Delhi from an artistic point of view (and of course, we’ll take care of all your social media need with lots of photography). New Delhi: Shahpur Jat Guided Textile Tour with Lunch

5. New Delhi: Shahpur Jat Guided Textile Tour with Lunch

Surprising--it is one of the words that best describes what Delhi is. As the capital city, one of the main delights that it offers is that it is a hub for textile (and yes that means shopping!!) where you’ll be able to fulfil all your desires of everything Indian in your wardrobe and this tour offers exactly that. We take you to one of the best kept secrets of Delhi when we talk about textiles--Shahpur Jat. Shah (wealth) pur (colony) Jat (a clan) meaning a locality of the rich jats, is an urban hub for all things textiles. This neighbourhood is filled with shops that show you the best of the best in every aspect possible. It also has a hidden secret of shops that offer you to see the step-by-step process of how a fabric is created from scratch and turned into a beautiful piece of garment. This may require you to get your hands dirty a little bit as we will stop to do a bit of dying and weaving--- giving you an overall experience of how the end product is made. The tour culminates with some food in our bellies and memories to take home

Definitely must-do experience while in Delhi. Shows you a place that normally you wouldn’t rather end up in. People around were super friendly. The guide Vijay is a local person so you won’t find any better person who could talk and talk for hours about this place! Highly recommended!

Great and respectful insight into the life of people living there. Changed my view of slums completely and the way how happy and successful people live and work. Very eye opening.

My guide was Sam and took care of us. Very informative tour and I highly recommend this tour to others.
