We opted for the package with transportation which was very comfortable. The large airboat was very spacious and we didn’t get wet at all. Those on the smaller airboats got soaked so happy to avoid that. I didn’t catch the name of our driver but he had a good sense of humor. We saw a lot of alligators of all sizes and turtles. A couple time the driver stopped to let us float as he told us info about alligators and gave us a history of the swamp. A highlight was when he brought out a baby alligator for us to hold! It was about a foot long and so incredibly cute. Overall this was a great experience we’d highly recommend. Make sure to wear sunscreen, clothes you don’t mind getting wet and ladies tie up you hair!
The tour of the plantation house was very interesting. However, the best part of the whole experience was the airboat/swamp ride! The guide that we were with was very informative and a lot of fun. I wish I knew his name so I could recommend him for everyone!
My husband and I took my nephew. Besides it being cold (no fault of the tour guide) we had an amazing time. The kid and adults thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide was super knowledgeable and very friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Loved the two perspectives of the plantation. The owners and the slaves. Two very different experiences at the same place. Airboat was fun and great energy :)
The swamp tour was great, our guide was very informative and also very funny, and I even got to see live crawfish, turtles and even hold a baby alligator
