Full description
Take a step back in time on New York’s largest sailboat. From the Clipper's spacious main deck or raised quarter deck, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island and other gems of the harbor on your 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minute cruise. Come and join us for the sailing experience of a lifetime! Order a drink from our full on-deck bar as we set sail, drop canvas, cut the engines and ply the harbor like they did more than a century ago. Sit back and relax or help us raise the sails and take a turn at the helm! A replica of the lumber-hauling schooners that drove America’s industry more than a century ago, Clipper City was built in the mid-1980s using plans purchased from the Smithsonian. Designed with her new cargo in mind (i.e. you), her decks are spacious and comfortable, with ample seating, a full bar amidships and a raised quarter deck back aft that allows for unparalleled views of the city and it’s harbor.

    Perfect experience!

It was a wonderful sight seeing trip! Besides all of the awesome views and photo pops the crew members were great! Interactive and allowed us to participate if we wanted in hoisting the sails! Thought the weather was a bit cloudy and the seas a bit chippy the crew were amazing and made the trip a wonderful experience..

Ship was beautiful, crew was great & cruise was wonderful. HOWEVER, it is advertised as a 90 minute cruise but it only lasted for 65 minutes. When I asked a crew member why we didn't stay out longer, his only nonchalant response was "Yeah, we are a little early." It was a fun experience, but if it's only for an hour don't advertise it as 90 minutes.

Nice, quiet trip with a beautiful view

The sailing ship was not easy to find at first because it was still at sea 30 minutes before departure. A friendly employee showed us the way where I got 2 tickets against the voucher. The sails were hoisted shortly after we cast them off, we saw Mrs Liberty up close and then we head back towards the harbor. You could experience a few maneuvers before the sails had to be gathered up again to moor. Great ride. Only small drop of bitterness. The trip only took 60 minutes, not 90 minutes as promised in the description on get your guide.
