Full description
Enjoy a romantic 2-hour harbor cruise of New York from on board the Clipper City’s spacious main deck or raised quarter deck. You will enjoy breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, and many other gems of the harbor as you sail. A replica of the lumber-hauling schooners that drove America’s industry more than a century ago, Clipper City was built in the mid-1980s using plans purchased from the Smithsonian. Designed with her new cargo in mind – you! – her decks are spacious and comfortable with ample seating, a full bar amidships, and a raised quarter deck back aft that allows for unparalleled views of the city and its harbor. Order a drink from the full on-deck bar, sit back and relax, or help the crew raise the sails and take a turn at the helm on this idyllic cruise that evokes the days of old.

You can't get any closer

Whow. I never thought that before. The sailing trip went so close to the Statue of Liberty that you couldn't really say closer. Unfortunately, the time we chose was 7pm in mid-July. Bright enough to take good pictures but a bit early to take some good pictures when it gets dark. So the statue was only irradiated when we were already on the way back and the skyline was a bit too bright. Nevertheless, I was able to take some great pictures of the skyline in the semi-dark. When we moored it was already dark. But the team couldn't help it. In order to get both really well, two tours would probably be necessary, since one tour went at 9 p.m. But 1a anyway

Highest recommendation, it's a must for a NYC trip.

Easy booking at getyourguide.com and thanks about the very good and easy communication. 5* stars extra. Absolutely friendly and helpful staff, family atmosphere with about 35 people. You can quickly come into contact and there are good drinks (unfortunately not exactly cheap)We had clear weather and the pictures of the sunset and the skyline in twilight could replace all commercial photo wallpapers. You can move freely to all sides on board and can get unexpected motives. One oft the best: we were lucky that the captain stopped just in front of a firework at the Brooklyn Bridge. Really terrific.Special thanks to the girl-sailor from Lake Constance in Germany, who gladly answered all questions and we wish her all the best for the future.

This sailing trip was one of our highlights during our New York trip. The tour started at 7pm and we were out on the water for 2 hours. Seeing the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan Skyline at dawn and at night is breath-taking and very romantic. The crew was very friendly and nice. Drinks were at the bar and they had everything you could possibly want. Not that cheap, but with that scenery the prices were secondary. Early May it was still pretty cold, so don't forget your jacket. I can only recommend this tour.
